Juniors and Sophomores will be given the opportunity to take the PSAT Wednesday, October 19th. The PSAT serves as the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship, which honors the top 2% of students in the country. The test measures critical reading skills, math problem-solving skills and writing skills. Only Juniors qualify for the National Merit Scholarship. There is a $15 testing fee. Students planning to register for the test should bring a check to Mr. Varriano made out to MPCG. The deadline to register is September 20th.

Everyone is invited to a “Near Space Balloon Launch” on the Mayville State Campus – to learn the history, how-to, and why of high altitude ballooning in education Friday, September 9th at 10 AM, 2 PM and 4 PM, in the Luckasen Room – and to witness the launch in front of the Power House, then track and retrieve the payload on Saturday, September 10th at 7 AM. Seniors! It’s time for you to choose your Homecoming King & Queen Candidates and Honor Escorts. Please come to the office to vote any time between now and noon this Friday. You will vote for 3 Senior Girls and 3 Seniors Boys; and 1 Girl and 1 Boy from each of grades 9-11. All students in grades 9-12 will vote for King & Queen on Friday, September 9th.

Due to wet field conditions the Jr. Hi FootbalL game scheduled for today at Central Valley has been postponed until TOMORROW AT 4:30 HERE AT OUR FOOTBALL FIELD.

Our Cooks will serve Breakfast each morning from 8:00 to 8:30 beginning Monday. Be sure to finish in plenty of time to beat the tardy bell!

There will be a meeting for National Honor Society applicants TODAY at 3:05 in the auditorium! Juniors and Seniors who received a letter on their lockers must attend for materials.

Anyone interested in helping with Stats for Volleyball this season, please contact Mrs. Stacy Hanson ASAP.

They are looking for 7 volunteers to act as victims for the simulation. Interested Juniors or Seniors should call Ben Gates at 701-270-1738 by 4:00 TODAY if they are able to help. Seniors may use this for community service hours.

There will be a School-to-Work meeting TODAY at 3:05 in the Art Room.

Anyone interested in helping with Stats for Volleyball this season, please contact Mrs. Stacy Hanson ASAP.
