Seniors: your Community Service Hours for January are due Tuesday, January 3rd at 4:00.

Reminder: FACS 1 classes need to pick up their gingerbread houses TODAY!

All students, grades 7-12, are invited to Radiate’s Christmas Lock-In, TODAY starting at 4:45pm at Riverside Church. At 5pm we will be bused to West Acres Mall for supper/shopping. Students have the option of two movies: Sing! at 7:20pm and Rogue One at 7:45pm. At 10pm we will head to Stars and Strikes Bowling for two hours of UNLIMITED pizza, soda, and bowling. From 1:30am-8am, we will be at Riverside Church. Night games include: Broomball, Santa Slender, Capture the Flag Dodgeball, Mafia, 4 on a Couch, FIFA, Just Dance, Bottle-flipping tournament, and lots more! Plus pizza, snacks, breakfast and special guest speaker: Simon Barker! Cost is $20 (which covers the movie and bowling), plus money for a meal at the mall. We want everyone to come, and are happy to cover the $20 or the meal as needed! Just come and invite your friends! If you can’t leave at 5:00 because of practices, clubs, or confirmation, just text me your name and what time you can come. The Jazz Band will present its Christmas Commons Concert tomorrow morning at 8:00.

Today the Boys and Girls Basketball Teams host HCV, JV Boys at PBJ at 4:30, JV Girls here at the high school at 4:30, followed by Girls Varsity and Boys Varsity; and the Crookston Girls Hockey Team plays in East Grand Forks. Let’s all come out and support the Patriots!

The Booster Club is looking for student workers for its Chili Feed TOMORROW during the Double Header Basketball Games. Please see Mrs. Strand to sign up! This is a good way for Seniors to get community service hours.

Totals for the high school Food Pantry Drive: 9th- 370 items; 10th- 346; 11th- 566; 12th- 257, totaling 1,539 items. You need 61 more items by 3:00 today to reach your goal and win a movie at the DelChar! And the high school class that brings the most gets an ICE CREAM SOCIAL.

Our goal is 1300 items. 6C = 46 items (7 students have brought items), 6K = 86 items (7 brought items), 7G = 180 items (11 brought items), 7J = 208 items (10 brought items), 8H = 87 items (7 brought items), 8J = 197 items (14 brought items). We need 496 more items to reach our goal of 1300 items. If each one brings 12 items, we will reach our goal. If you have already brought your items, thank you! If you have brought nothing yet, you have until Thursday of this week to bring! Let’s make this food drive as successful as possible!

Mrs. Connick has created a lovely winter scene on the portable divider in the commons. To make it complete all it needs are snowflakes! So we invite each of you to create one! Please remember, all snowflakes have 6 points or sides. Snowflakes are not square, nor are they rectangular. If you like, pick up instructions and paper in the office. When you’re finished bring it to Joan. No snowflakes larger than 5 inches, please. Sanford Mayville Medical Center is holding a UND R-COOL-Health Scrubs Camp. The program is sponsored by UND, and focuses on increasing awareness and sparking interest in students in grades 8-12 by introducing students to a variety of health careers in rural North Dakota through creative and interactive activities. The camp will be held at Sanford Mayville Medical Center on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. There is no cost to students, and a lunch and snacks are provided. Applications can be picked up and returned to Stacy Hanson by the deadline of December 16th. For more information, contact Doris Vigen at 701-788-3800 or doris.vigen.

A total of 50 middle school students have brought zero items! We all need to bring if we want to reach our goal of 1300 items & go to the movie!! There are only 5 school days left to bring for items for this project!
