The 2016-17 May-Port CG Yearbook ordering deadline is May 31st, 2017. The cost is $35, and there won’t be any extra yearbooks ordered, so order yours today!!! Payment can be made at either PBJ or MPCG HS.

The May Newsletter will be sent to all Senior parents this week. It contains many items of importance regarding programs in which Seniors will be taking part, including Graduation. Our Newsletters are also on our website, mayportcg.com.

Seniors, your last Community Service Hours are due next Monday at 4:00.

Seniors, Todd Cameron with Jostens will be here Tuesday, May 9th, at 10 AM to distribute graduation caps, gowns, stoles and tassels. You MUST have payment with you in order to get these items. We ask that you bring 2 checks (or cash), made payable to MPCG, one for $20 and one for $5. When you return your gown the week after graduation, you will get $20 back.

Seniors wanting to pick out hymns for Baccalaureate will meet at Our Lady of Peace Church TODAY at 4:30. If you have questions talk to Josh Moeller.

Today the Softball Team hosts Thompson at 4:30, and Hankinson at 6:00. Tomorrow the Jr. Hi and Varsity Track Teams host a meet starting at 10:00; and the Baseball Team will play HCV at Reynolds for two varsity games, starting at 11:00, and the Softball Team will play Northern Cass at Hillsboro at 1:00, JV to follow. Let’s all come out and support the Patriots!

The following Speech Team Members are excused today at 2:00 to compete in State Speech in Mandan: Alyssa Peterson, Kailer Riedman, Cailee Peterson, Colvin Abler, Morgan Palmer, Zoe Agnes, Malena Twedt, Kyra Mortenson and Teresa Nelson. Let’s all support the Arts at May-Port CG!

The FCCLA State Delegates represented May-Port CG in a big way! Our STAR Event competitors were excellent. Taylyn Thompson will be advancing to the National Competition in Nashville TN in July. Our leaders attended workshops that will be shared with all members, and our chapter was in charge of the banquet set up for the entire group attending the State Meeting. FCCLA certainly demonstrated Patriot Pride!"

Seventeen FCCLA members and their advisors are taking part in the State Conference in Bismarck, today and tomorrow.

TODAY’S Baseball Game at Hope has been postponed to May 11.

The Softball Team will practice at the elementary school after school today.

Congratulations to the Patriot Varsity Softball Team for its 6-4 win over Dakota Prairie Saturday! Also, congrats to the Patriot Jr. Varsity who won its first game of the season with a 25-8 victory.

Congratulations to the MPCG FBLA Chapter for receiving a Shopko Foundation grant! This grant will help support The Dolly Parton Imagination Library which each month sends children, age birth to 5 years old, a free book at their reading level.

The MayPort CG FCCLA election was held yesterday and the results are in! Many of our great members were considered to take part in our leadership. Our FCCLA Chapter will continue to count on ALL its members for leadership. Abby Freeland has been selected as one of 6 Distinguished Students finalists for 2017-2018 School Year. Abby will have her interview in May and we’re sure she will do a nice job. Congrats Abby!

Cailee Peteson and Ahna Mehus qualified for the State Track meet. Cailee qualified in both the mile and 2 mile; Ahna qualified in the 2 mile. Nice work Ladies!
