We commend your achievement in demonstrating such mastery of financial literacy skills and are pleased to present you with a cash award of $1,000. Your award will be delivered by mail to your chapter adviser. Your achievement will also be recognized on screen during the Opening General Session of the National Leadership Conference on Thursday, June 28.

He was responsible for saving 125 people from persecution and possible death in Nazi Germany. The historian who produced the video will be on hand to answer questions after the movie. A free-will supper will follow the 5:30 showing. Sponsored by the PLP Impact Team.

FCCLA Members: The tours of The Goddard School, Sanford Children’s Hospital, and NDSU are scheduled for next Wednesday, April 25. FCCLA meets today in the FACS room at Common Time!

Patriot Pride is alive and well! We are proud of our MPCG State FCCLA delegation at the State Leadership Conference! Taylyn Thompson and Ben Berdal ranked first in the nation in the second round of the Virtual Business Challenge. Lucy Lindaas showed leadership, grace and integrity by running for State Officer. And Jayme Osier and Hannah Lundwall are headed for Atlanta to present their Community Service Portfolio Project in June!!!!!! 76 fleece blankets were made to pass on to Ronald McDonald House and Children’s Miracle Network! Miss America, Positive Motion, midnight desserts at Perkins, and leadership workshops topped off the whole adventure. MayPort CG FCCLA is awesome!

The MPCG Speech Team competed at Regional Speech in Cooperstown last Saturday. The team of 17 students placed Region 3 Runner-up overall with 100 points and will take 10 of its members to State in 2 weeks! SCHOLARSHIP P.E.O. Scholarship: awarded to an MPCG senior female planning to attend Mayville State University based upon scholastic standing, character, leadership qualities, and personality. Seniors: If you are going into the field of teaching, you may wish to apply for the Nancy Jallo Teachers of Tomorrow scholarship. Pick up an application from Mrs. M. Johnson if you are interested in applying. Applications are due April 25.

Attention students in grades 6, 10, 11 and 12: You are due for immunizations. Traill County Health will be coming to the school soon and you can get those vaccinations up to date. There are forms in the office that need to be filled out and returned by April 20. If you have any questions contact Mrs. Satrom.

Anyone in grades 6 thru 11 interested in joining Cheerleading for the 2018-2019 Football and/or Basketball seasons, please sign up in the office. There will be a meeting next Thursday, April 19 during Common Time in the auditorium. If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to cheer, contact Mrs. DeLong.

Smarter Balanced Testing The North Dakota State Assessment Test will be given in the computer lab as follows:

April 17th: 8th grade periods 1-3 in the computer lab, 6th grade periods 5-7 in the computer lab

April 18th: 8th grade periods 1-3 in the computer lab, 6th grade periods 5-7 in the computer lab

April 19th: Make-up test day. Students are to bring a pencil and headphones or earbuds if they have them.

Seniors – Check your email for one from Mr. Ulland. If you did not get one, you are good to go for Dollars for Scholars. If you got one, make sure you read it and take action.

Miller’s Fresh Foods is currently taking applications for cashiers and stockers. Applications may be picked up at the store.

A reminder to Boys and Girls in 6th Grade: you have until TODAY to sign up for Baseball Buddies. Forms were handed out last week, and may be brought to the office.

Juniors interested in attending Girls State in June, your applications are due in the office TODAY.

There will be a meeting for all Juniors Boys, regarding Boys State, next Tuesday, April 17 at 3:05 in the auditorium.

Thirteen FCCLA students and their advisors will leave Sunday for the State Leadership Conference in Bismarck. They will return Tuesday.

The Speech Team leaves tomorrow morning at 7:10 to take part in the Regional Meet in Cooperstown.

Forty-three MPCG Music Students will take part in the Regional Solo and Ensemble contest at Mayville State today. This is a great opportunity for the public to come listen to some wonderful vocal and instrumental performances! Let’s all come out and support the Arts!
