Attention students in grades 6, 10, 11 and 12: You are due for immunizations. Traill County Health will be coming to the school soon and you can get those vaccinations up to date. Anyone in grades 6 thru 11 interested in joining Cheerleading for the 2018-2019 Football and/or Basketball seasons, please sign up in the office. Smarter Balanced Testing The North Dakota State Assessment Test will be given in the computer lab as follows:

April 17th: 8th grade periods 1-3 in the computer lab, 6th grade periods 5-7 in the computer lab

April 18th: 8th grade periods 1-3 in the computer lab, 6th grade periods 5-7 in the computer lab

April 19th: Make-up test day. Students are to bring a pencil and headphones or earbuds if they have them.

In recognition of Farm Month, the Joke of the day is: What do you give a sick pig? Oink-ment.

May-Port CG students, 7th grader Brady Sand & 8th grader Devin Fulton, attended the NASP State Archery competition March 24, at the State Fairgrounds in Minot, ND. In the bullseye competition, Devin shot a 269 placing him 48th overall out of 263 male shooters and 18th in the middle school division. Overall, Brady finished second out of 263 boys and he received a plaque for the 1st place middle school boys competitor with the highest score. They both competed in the 3-D shoot the same day in Minot and Devin earned a 241 placing him 77th out of 213 shooters. Brady shot a 285 out of a possible 300 points giving him a 1st place finish in points out of 213 shooters. Brady was one in the top 5 scores of the competition, so then the top 5 competed in a shoot off and the winner closest to a designated mark won a big game hunt in Wyoming. Brady won a $3,000 educational scholarship and earned an opportunity to go and compete at the national tournament in Kentucky in May.
