Cheryl Moen with Hallada Formal Wear, will be here next Wednesday, February 21 during high school lunch periods to give information regarding tuxedos for Prom, and will take orders at that time. She will return in early March to take orders as well. Shop home-town.

It’s time to JAM again! Our next event will be on February 24 starting at 7 PM for all 7th-12th graders. We will have a LOCK-N-ROCK at Mayville Lutheran Church. Plan to come to have fun, play games, karaoke/music, watch movies, etc.! Possibilities are endless. We will conclude Sunday morning after breakfast at 9 AM, and church service in your PJ’s for all interested at 10 AM. All are welcome! The Patriot Girls Basketball Team will host Hatton-Northwood TOMORROW at 7:00, here at the high school, for the Region 2 play-in game. A reminder that Season passes will not work for admission into the game. Prices will be $7.00/Adult and $5.00/students. These prices are set by the NDHSAA. The winner of the play-in game will move on to the Region 2 tournament at the Betty on Monday.

The C Boys Basketball Team will play at Hatton tomorrow starting at 4:30.

It’s FCCLA Week! There are black rocks hidden around the high school and middle school commons that say “FCCLA ROCKS”! If you find one, bring it to the FACS room at 3:05 and the people with the most found rocks on Friday have a chance to win a prize with a $5 value! Good luck!

The May-Port Area Ice Dawgs will have Teacher Appreciation Night as they host Kittson County Central starting at 7:30. We wish Rylee Thompson the very best as he competes in the State Wrestling Tournament in Fargo starting today! Let’s all come out and support the Patriots!

The MPCGEA will serve a Soup and Bread Supper during the ballgames TONIGHT starting at 5:00, for a free-will donation. There will also be baked goods and jewelry for sale. Proceeds will go to the MPCGEA Scholarship.

Sanford Staff will be here tonight during the ballgames to share Cardiac Health info, and to give Free Blood Pressure Checks.

The MPCG Speech Team competed at the Northern Cass meet with 18 other teams. Individual results are as follows: Malena Twedt – 8th in Humorous Duo; Lucy Lindaas– 8th in Humorous Duo; Elsie Twedt-Top novice in Inform; Morgan Palmer – 8th in Humorous; Kyra Mortenson -8th in Inform, 6th in Impromptu; Oliver Marquardt-4th in Humorous Duo; and Lucas Peterson -4th in Humorous Duo.

Congratulations to 7th and 8th Grade Girls Basketball Teams for their wins over HCV, 7th: 30 -23, and 8th: 38 -35 in overtime.

Jr. High Boys Basketball results for the weekend: 7th Grade 32-26 loss to Thompson; 8th Grade 35 -10 win over Thompson. Northwood Jamboree: 33-31 OT loss to FSHP; 37-24 loss to Thompson.

The Wrestlers compete in the Regional Individual meet in Harvey today and tomorrow. Also tomorrow the Speech Team leaves at 7:00 AM to compete at Northern Cass; 8th Grade Girls Basketball plays in the Central Valley Jamboree; 8th Grade Boys play in the Northwood Jamboree, and JV and Varsity Girls leave at 10:15 to play in Thompson at 12:00 and 1:30. Congratulations to the FCCLA members that participated in the District 8 competition in Kindred on Wednesday. Competing in Food Innovations were Alexis Thomas, Ahna Mehus and Hanna McIntyre who received a Silver award. Nicole Mehus participated in the National Programs event and scored a Gold. Jayme Osier and Hannah Lundwall presented the Chapter Service Project Portfolio and will attend the State competition in Bismarck in April with a Gold. These members worked hard to represent our FCCLA organization and have developed great leadership skills through their projects.
