Mayville State University’s Comet Athletic Club is hosting its annual 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 24, 2018! Teams from 3rd grade through high school are welcome. The cost is $100 per team consisting of a maximum five players. Free shirts are given to all participants. Medals will be awarded to the top three places in each division. Games will start at 8:30 AM and all will be played on the MSU campus. Teams should register at least 30 minutes prior to the start of their first scheduled game. The May-Port CG Summer Baseball and Softball Program is currently accepting registrations at www.mpcgbaseballboosters.com. Early bird registration ends April 7, and registrations after this date will have a $10 per player late fee added. The Board is also accepting applications for team coaches. The MPCG Speech team competed at the Midkota Speech meet on Saturday, Mar. 10th and placed 2nd overall out of 8 teams. Sixteen members of the speech team competed in 53 entries. Congratulations to the MPCG Robotics teams on their 8th Place Finish in the state tournament this past Saturday. Also, thanks to all the volunteers who helped make it such a successful event! Mr. Torgeson did a great job of organizing this big event.

The MPCG Speech Team competed at the Hatton-Northwood meet last Saturday. The team placed 4th overall out of 13 teams. Individual results are as follows: Zoe Agnes– 3rd in Humorous, 6th in Humorous Duo; Kyra Mortenson – 3rd in Storytelling, 6th in Serious, 5th in Inform; Lily Moch – 7th in Serious; Morgan Palmer – 6th in Humorous, 4th in Storytelling, 6th in Humorous Duo; Malena Twedt – 6th in Entertain; Lucas Peterson – 7th Storytelling.

The results for the 8th grade Boys Basketball from Friday were Cavalier 33, MPCG 27. The 7th grade team won their 2-quarter game 20-18. The post season party has been moved to Monday, March 5 at 5:30

Tomorrow May-Port CG will be hosting the North Dakota State VEX Robotics Championships in the high school gym. All are welcome to come check out this great event. Admission is free. The qualification rounds will begin at roughly 9:45 am.

Today the Boys Basketball Teams host Cavalier, Jr. Hi will play at PBJ starting at 4:30 (note the time change), and C, JV and Varsity here at the high school starting at 4:30. Senior players and stats and their parents will be recognized. The theme for tonight’s game is Sports Jerseys. Let’s all come out and support the Patriots!
