SCHOLARSHIPS Nodak Electric Cooperative is offering an all-expenses paid trip for one sophomore or junior (parents must be served by Nodak Electric Cooperative) from within its service territory to Washington DC June 9-15, 2018 to take part in the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour. Students learn about electric cooperatives, American history and government meet North Dakota congressional representatives and explore the sites of Washington DC. Students compete for this opportunity by writing an essay addressing the topic: "There are approximately 20 million military veterans in the United States today. How shall fellow US citizens honor and look after these veterans, who have served and sacrificed on our behalf? Describe any special connection you may have to a veteran or active-duty member of the military." Deadline: January 31, 2018. Foundation for Rural Service (national level) Amount: $2500. FRS Staurulakis Family Scholarship for seniors majoring in math, science, engineering, or medicine. Seniors who are interested in being a member of the First and Farmers Bank Junior Board of Directors may pick up applications in the office. The forms must be returned to the office by next Tuesday, November 7th.

This Sunday, November 5th, Daylight Savings Time ends. That’s one more hour to do homework!

All students planning to participate in a winter sport must have an annual sports physical turned in to the office in order to play. Students are not allowed to practice until one is turned in. Students that participated in a fall sport and turned in a physical are ok to participate right away.

The Last Day to pay dues for FBLA is next Tuesday, November 7th. If you missed the meeting, t-shirt forms are available on the FBLA bulletin board.

Football players that didn’t turn equipment in need to do so ASAP or you will be charged. Those with at least one thing missing are: Wyatt Kendall, Jared Aamold, Reece Groth, Jordan Sherva, Gunnar Peterson, Rylee Thompson, Andrew Corey, Reese Hanson, Elijah Sheets, and Logan Krueger.

Wrestling and Hockey practices begin next Monday.

Students who need a ride to the hockey rink after school should ride Bus 4. Be sure to let the driver, Tim Overmoen, know he needs to stop there.

Monday at approximately 6 PM the Varsity Volleyball Team plays in the first round of Region II Volleyball in Park River. Let’s all WEAR RED on Monday to show our Patriot Pride and our support for the Girls!
