Sanford Health Center is hosting a SCRUBS Camp Monday, January 15, from 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM at Sanford in Mayville. Students in grades 8-11 are invited to attend. The camp exposes students to careers in the health field. If interested, pick up an application from Mrs. Hanson. Applications are due by December 15th & it is limited to 25 students.

The Book Fair is open today until noon. For every book purchased, you could win 1 of 4 door prizes.

There will be Open Swim time at the MSU Pool December 18, 20, 23, 27, 30, January 3 & 6 from 2:30 to 4:30, and January 7 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Cost is $2.

Junior Bank Board meets next Monday, December 18th at 7:30 AM in the Mayville office.

Students planning to take a College Dual Credit Course next semester must get paperwork from Mr. Ulland. The forms are due by Christmas break, December 19.

The Middle School students have brought a total of 661 items for the food pantry. Our goal is 1200 items so we have a ways to go to reach our goal. We have 863 food items for high school! Need 437 more. The food drive ends this Wednesday, so we have only 3 days left to bring. Remember, if you want to take part in the rewards, you must bring at least 10 items each.

Tomorrow the Hockey Team plays in Ely, MN at 2:00; the Wrestlers compete in the Carrington Tournament; the Girls Hockey Team plays in Crookston at 2:00; and the Girls and Boys Basketball Teams host Central Cass, JV Boys starting at 11:30 followed by the JV Girls, Varsity Girls, then Varsity Boys. Let’s all come out and support the Patriots!

There will be auditions for the MSU Theatre Spring play, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” tonight at 6:30 in the MSU Old Main Theatre (Main 209). Please e-mail robert.sylskar if you would like to audition for this show or even if you just want to help. If you can’t make either audition time, but still want to be part of the production, please let me know that as well. No preparation is necessary. Just show up and read. We hope to cast the show and have a couple of read-throughs of the show before Christmas break, with full rehearsal schedule resuming at the start of Spring Semester. Bob Sylskar, Director.

They will compete against Nolan Wengeler of 7J, Logan Baker of 7G, Kendall Nelson of 8H, and Gavin Mewes of 8J to determine the school champion on December 19."
