SCHOLARSHIPS America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders Scholarship: Sponsored by Monsanto for students pursuing an ag-related field of study. The selection process takes into account the whole student – FFA involvement, work experience, Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), community service, leadership skills and academics. AgCountry Farm Credit Services Scholarship: Applicants must be from an actively farming or ranching family OR must be planning to pursue a career in farming or some other aspect of agriculture such as agricultural extension, agricultural education, soil conservation, farm and ranch management, agricultural finance, veterinary medicine or agribusiness. North Dakota Rural Water Systems Association: Seniors enrolling in Bismarck State College’s Water & Treatment Technology program OR a child or grandchild of a current city/rural water system employee, OR elected city/rural water system official. Preference will be given to North Dakota residents. Based on career goals, leadership activities, financial need and an essay. North Dakota Corn Growers Association: students submit a completed application, career plans, at least two letters of recommendation from non-family members, a resume and a copy of their most recent transcript. Jr High Girls Basketball Pictures will be taken next Monday at 4:00 at PBJ.
The Food Drive will be starting on MONDAY. The high school goal and prizes are on the student council board outside of the bathrooms in the commons. EVERY STUDENT MUST bring 10 items IF you want to participate in the final prize!!! Freshmen bring items to Mrs. Strand, Sophomores bring items to Mrs. Hanson, Juniors bring items to Mr. Hanson, and Seniors bring items to Mrs. Torgeson. DO NOT just drop your items off, make sure the teacher sees your items so they can mark off so you can get counted in for the final prize.
The High School (9th-12th grade) Volleyball Teams’ end of the year Ice Cream Social will be next Monday, November 20th, at 7:00 pm at the high school.
It’s time to JAM again!!! We will have Turkey Olympics this Sunday, Nov 19th from 12:30-2:30pm at Mayville Lutheran Church. All 6-12th graders welcome!!
