Classroom guidance is an important part of the School Counseling program at Peter Boe Jr. Elementary. Classroom visits focus on topics dealing with personal/social, career, and academic matters. Lessons support the character education that classroom teachers are constantly working on and encourage positive core values and traits including; fairness, responsibility, citizenship, trustworthiness, caring, and respectfulness.
During the 2015-2016 school year, Mrs. Soholt will visit each classroom twice a month. During these lessons, classes will discuss Zones of Regulation skills, various character traits, or teacher-requested topics that coincide with the needs of each classroom. Classroom visits are 30 minutes long and highly engaging for students.
