The May-Port CG Softball Team will have an open gym tonight at PBJ for all interested players in grades 7-12. Pitching will start at 6:15 p.m. and open gym for all players begins at 7 p.m. Note the change of location.

Congratulations to the MPCG Robotics teams on their 8th Place Finish in the state tournament this past Saturday. Also, thanks to all the volunteers who helped make it such a successful event! Mr. Torgeson did a great job of organizing this big event.

The MPCG Speech Team competed at the Hatton-Northwood meet last Saturday. The team placed 4th overall out of 13 teams. Individual results are as follows: Zoe Agnes– 3rd in Humorous, 6th in Humorous Duo; Kyra Mortenson – 3rd in Storytelling, 6th in Serious, 5th in Inform; Lily Moch – 7th in Serious; Morgan Palmer – 6th in Humorous, 4th in Storytelling, 6th in Humorous Duo; Malena Twedt – 6th in Entertain; Lucas Peterson – 7th Storytelling.

The results for the 8th grade Boys Basketball from Friday were Cavalier 33, MPCG 27. The 7th grade team won their 2-quarter game 20-18. The post season party has been moved to Monday, March 5 at 5:30

at Riverside Church. Tomorrow boys basketball, grades 6-8 open gym at PBJ. We will be done by 5:30.

Last Thursday the Jr Hi Boys Basketball Team lost to Griggs 23-18. On Saturday they traveled to McVille to play Dakota Prairie and won both games. The 7th grade team won 29 – 13 with all eight players scoring. The 8th grade won 36 – 24. Great job, guys!

The MPCG Speech Team competed at Grafton on Saturday.The Team took 5th overall in Sweepstakes points out of 15 teams. Individual results are as follows: Lucas Peterson – 8th in Serious; Elsie Twedt- 8th in Inform; Lily Moch – 7th in Dramatic, 3rd in Humorous Duo; Ava Nelson- 7th in Storytelling, 5th in Radio, 3rd in Poetry; Kyra Mortenson – 6th in Serious, 4th in Inform, 3rd in Humorous Duo, 3rd in Impromptu; Malena Twedt – 7th in Entertain, 1st in Storytelling.

Congratulations to Rylee Thompson on a nice showing at the State Wrestling tournament this past weekend in Fargo.

Good luck to the Girls Basketball Team today at the Region 2 Tournament. The Patriots will play Grafton at 6:30 at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center in Grand Forks.There will be a send-off for the Girls starting at 3:10. Wear RED to the game!

Thank you to everyone that came out to the last high school Icedawg hockey home game and helped celebrate Teacher Appreciation Night. Thanks to the students, pep band, parents, and of course the teachers!

Rylee wrestled well yesterday but came up short and lost 4-2 to the 6th seed in the tournament. The consolation rounds for Class B will start today at 11:00 am. The tournament will start at 106 so I anticipate Rylee at 152 to wrestle approximately 12:00-12:30. Good luck Rylee!

The Patriot Girls Basketball Team hosts Hatton-Northwood TONIGHT at 7:00, here at the high school, for the Region 2 play-in game. The Theme is Beach Wear. A reminder that Season Passes will not work for admission into the game. Prices are $7.00/Adult and $5.00/students, set by the NDHSAA. The winner of the play-in game will move on to the Region 2 tournament at the Betty on Monday. The C Boys Basketball Team will leave at 3:40 to play in Hatton starting at 4:30. Tomorrow the Speech Team leaves at 6:40 to compete in Grafton, and the Boys Basketball Teams play in McVille, 7th grade starting at 12:00, followed by the 8th Grade, JV and Varsity. Jr. Hi will leave at 10:30; JV and Varsity leave at 12:30. Let’s all come out and support the Patriots!
