SCHOLARSHIPS Dacotah Chapter, Daughters of American Revolution, Good Citizens Scholarship: Each High School may choose one senior student as the DAR Good Citizen. That student then has the opportunity to enter the Good Citizen Scholarship contest. The chosen Good Citizen student will have two hours to write an essay on a selected topic. Deadline: Dec. 1. The winner of the Dacotah Chapter scholarship is then entered in the North Dakota State DAR contest. The Chapter award is $300 and the state award is $250. United States Senate Youth Program: North Dakota selects two winners and two alternates. Open to seniors and juniors who are currently serving in a position in Student Body Government or Class Officer, a member of student council, or student representative elected or appointed to a district, regional or state-level civic and/or educational organization approved by the state selection administrator. Two students from each state receive a week, all-expense paid trip to Washington DC to observe the workings of the nation’s capital, plus a $10,000 scholarship. Due: Oct 16th. Juniors and Sophomores interested in taking the PSAT need to bring a check to Mr. Varriano, for $16 made payable to May-Port CG. Deadline is September 19th.

The Comets Basketball 3 on 3 Developmental League for grades 3-8, that was to begin September 24 has been canceled.

School will be dismissed at 1:45 TOMORROW for teachers’ professional development.

High School Class Officer Petitions are due in the office TODAY at 4:00. Elections will take place during lunch TOMORROW.

There will be a High School Student Council Meeting TOMORROW at 8:05 in in the auditorium please

FCCLA members need to sign up for concession in the FACS Room. We need your help for TODAY’S Volleyball Games. Earn your points and two hours of concession work done for our field trip in the spring. Become Inspired with FCCLA!

There will be an FBLA meeting for ALL INTERESTED STUDENTS, grades 8-12, TODAY at 3:05 in the auditorium.

Senior Parents Night for Football will be this Friday, September 15th.

Today the Volleyball Teams host Cavalier, 7th and 8th Grades at 4:00 and 5:00 at PBJ; and C Squad starting at 5:00 followed by the JV and Varsity here at the high school. Let’s all come out and support the Patriots!
