parents count

Here are some important weekly updates for PBJ!

There will be a fifth grade band meeting at the high school music room on Monday, September 30th at 6:30 p.m.  Any fifth graders that are interested in participating in band and their parents are encouraged to attend this informational meeting with Mr. Marquardt.

Students, please remember to go to the lunchroom if you arrive at school before 8:00 a.m.  The teachers are not always here before that time.  Students that arrive before 8:00 a.m. are to wait in the lunchroom until the supervisor dismisses them to the playground.

Parents, if there is a change of plans in the end of the day for your child, please call the school and let us know.  We will pass the information on to whomever needs to know.

Parents, please follow the procedures we established for dropping off and picking up children at school.  Please use the drop off and pick up zones.  Do not park your car in front of the school and come into the building.  Use the parking lot. Their safety is our greatest concern.

Thank you to parents for getting your children to school on time.  Getting them to the front door and then allowing them to venture forth from there will enable them to establish independence in starting their school day.

Thank you to the parents who supported the children in their quest for a reading goal last week. The children returned over 700 reading slips in just 5 days to earn a reward of a popsicle party today.  Reading is the foundation of learning and parents are the foundation of a child’s love for reading.

Please remember that the Elementary School is a peanut free school.  We do not allow lunches, snacks or treats that have peanuts or that have been produced on machinery used to make peanut products. Please read all labels to be sure.

There will be a player/parent meeting for 4th, 5th and 6th grade Boy’s Basketball players on October 7th at 6:30 p.m. at the high school auditorium.

Homecoming week is October 7-11.  We will have special dress up days for the elementary school each day.  The elementary students will be involved in a parade and pep rally on Friday afternoon.  We will have more information on that next week!

The bike racks have been relocated to the west wing of the school.
