Graduation Safety Guidelines,

May 24, 2020

Safety Precautions:

Each guest must wear a mask to attend- GRADUATES masks made by Mrs. Capouch will be provided for you. 

BATHROOMS will be UNAVAILABLE to all. 

NO CHILDREN under 18 will be allowed to attend. 

Tickets/Attendance:

Each student will be permitted two tickets (Tickets preferably go to those living in the same home due to seating restrictions and social distancing.) 

Applications for ONE EXTRA ticket is due to Mrs. Blotsky via email by 4:00pm on Wednesday, May 13. 

Students with requests for EXTRA seating will be notified on Thursday, May 14 of those decisions.  

Any student who is NOT physically attending will need to notify Mrs. Blotsky by Wednesday at 4:00pm 

Guest Arrival/Seating:

We will begin seating guests at 1:00pm. Guests, please be parked in the school parking by 1:00pm and do not come to the gymnasium door until you are told to do so. 

Each guest must wait in their vehicle in the parking lot until their group is called to be seated. 

Each student’s guest group will be assigned seating in the gymnasium. 

Each guest will be escorted to their seats one group at a time. 

Once seated in the gym, you may NOT move from your seat until you are directed to do so at the end of the ceremony. 

Graduate Arrival/Seating:

Each graduate will report to the south end of the parking lot by 1:00pm, seniors, please park on the gravel area and wait in your vehicle to be called in. 

Be prepared to wait in your vehicle until specifically directed to come in. 

We will begin allowing students into the building one at a time at 1:00pm for photos with Ron Jacobsen in the Middle School commons, guidance for photos will be given to graduates upon arrival. 

X’s will be marked on the floor inside the building 6 feet apart that each graduate will stand on. 

You will be directed to an X and will not be permitted to leave that spot until you are escorted individually to your seat in the gym. 

Once seated in the gym, you may NOT move from your seat until we call your name for your diploma.

Guest Departure:

Guests will walk out of the graduation ceremony with their graduate of the same home and report immediately to their vehicles, no loitering is allowed.  

Those sitting in EXTRA seating, will be escorted out after the graduates. 

Upon exiting the gym you MUST report immediately to your vehicles. Loitering will not be allowed. 

Graduate Departure: 

Graduates will walk out of the graduation ceremony with their guest of the same home and report immediately to their vehicles, no loitering is allowed.

Photo Information:

We will begin allowing students into the building one at a time at 1:00pm for photos with Ron Jacobson, guidance will be given to graduates upon arrival. 

Jacobson Studios will be taking photos of students on stage with their diploma. Parents will have the option of taking a photo from your seat. You may not leave your seat for photos. 

Cards/Gift Drop-Off:

EACH STUDENT is to supply a Rubbermaid container (large size) with a lid. 

Your name must be written on the outside. Please cut a hole for cards on the top of the container. 

IF you are unable to acquire a large Rubbermaid container please let administration know ASAP. 

If you want to specify a container for cards and a separate container without a lid for gifts, that is an option as well. 

PLEASE DROP YOUR RUBBERMAID CONTAINERS OFF IN THE SCHOOL LOBBY BY FRIDAY, MAY 22 AT NOON. 

Rubbermaid containers will be lined up on the sidewalk on May 24 from 10:00am to Noon where the public may DRIVE-BY and ONE AT A TIME drop cards or gifts by each student’s container. 

The containers will be monitored from 10:00am to Noon on May 24 at that time containers will be moved inside to a secure location. Cards and Gifts MAY NOT be dropped off AFTER NOON on May 24. 

CONTAINERS will be available for pick-up at the conclusion of the Graduation Ceremony. PLEASE pick-up containers one at a time in a DRIVE-BY fashion at the CONCLUSION of graduation. Please do not walk up to pick-up your container and walk it back to your vehicle in the parking lot. SOMEONE will be available to monitor the picking up of containers. 

WE WILL POST A CONTINGENCY PLAN IF WEATHER IS AN ISSUE. 

Ceremony Instructions: 

Once seated in the gym, you may NOT move from your seat until we call your name for your diploma.


A video with step-by-step instructions for graduation will be posted on Friday, May 15. During this video Mr. Bradner will walk you through the graduation process and what the expectations are on May 24. 

Graduation regalia may be picked up on Friday, May 15 at the MPCG Gymnasium between 8:30-12:30. 

Administration will meet with ALL seniors and PARENTS on Thursday, May 14 at 6:30pm on ZOOM. Please be on the lookout for the Zoom invitation. 

Please review this document prior to the Zoom meeting on May 14. At that time, we will be able to answer any further questions and talk further about expectations for graduation.
