FCCLA is looking for a few great members ... that would be YOU!  Pick up a member form in the FACS room and pay your $30 dues to the office. Treats for membership this week only! There will be an FCCLA meeting during Patriot Pride Time TODAY at 3:05 for all members and potential members in Mrs. Capouch’s room.  Snacks will be provided!

SENIORS: We need 2 volunteers to sell Dollars for Scholars 50/50 tickets for the home volleyball game tomorrow. Please sign up in the office!

The One Act Play will have another read-through at 6:55 tomorrow morning.

If you are interested in ordering a Patriots Lettermen's Jacket, Joe from Gerrells will be at the high school during lunch on Friday this week!

National Honor Society will hold an induction practice for all NHS members, new and old, tomorrow during Patriot Pride Time in the auditorium.

Scholarships:

  • Prudential Spirit of Community Awards: recognize middle and high school students who have demonstrated exemplary, self-initiated community service. State winner ($1000) plus all-expense paid trip to Washington DC, National winners ($6000) Due: November 6th.   Apply at: http://spirit.prudential.com
  • Real Deal Scholarship: Every month. October - March the Bank of North Dakota awards eight seniors from across the state a $500 scholarship.  In April 2017, these 48 students will have the opportunity to compete for a $3000 scholarship.  Seniors need to have at least a 2.5 GPA, demonstrate school or community involvement in at least activities, and plan to attend a North Dakota college or university.  Apply early to increase your chances of winning.  One application is good for each monthly drawing.  Apply at:    
  • United States Senate Youth Program: North Dakota selects two winners and two alternates. Open to seniors and juniors who are currently serving in a position in Student Body Government or Class Officer, a member of student council, or student representative elected or appointed to a district, regional or state-level civic and/or educational organization approved by the state selection administrator.  Two students from each state receive a week, all-expense paid trip to Washington DC to observe the workings of the nation's capital, plus a $10,000 scholarship.  Due: Oct 15th.  For more information:  www.ussentateyouth.org http://www.ussentateyouth.org. 2018 Homecoming week is next week! Dress-up days and activities include:

Monday:  PJ Day- Egg Toss, Tug of War, Relay Race (2nd hour)

Tuesday: Nerd vs. Jock Day- PowderPuff Football (6th hour)

Wednesday: UND vs. NDSU Day- Kickball (5th hour)

ThursdayBeach vs. Winter Day - PowerBuff Volleyball (3rd hour)

FridayPatriot Pride Day- Pep Rally

Each class will receive points for percentage of students dressed up AND for placing in the activities.  Show your Patriot Pride!  The winning class will get something special.

There will be a dance and games Friday night after the football game until Midnight.  $5.00 per person! NO OUTSIDE BEVERAGES WILL BE ALLOWED.  We will have water available and the pop machine will be turned on.
