April 22 MS/HS Announcements

Daily Announcements MPCG

Date: Thursday, April 22nd

Encouraging thought of the day:

“We know what we are but know not what we may be.” – Shakespeare

I received the following from Lynn and Donna Mickelson after the assembly yesterday;

“Donna and I would like to take this opportunity to again say a big “THANK YOU!!” to all who looked at and attended the Deutscher Family Crashed Car Display and Presentation on Wednesday.  We were so very impressed with all the good questions that you put forth.  I again apologize for my hearing difficulties.  I guess that is just one sign that I am getting old.  As I was speaking I could see by the looks on your faces and the many ‘wet eyes’ how involved you were with what was being said.  Just a thought here….one of the schools we were at a few years ago made it their mission to keep that blue card that you received when looking at the Crashed Car in their own car while driving as a reminder of what can happen.  Would you care to do that? In the past 8 years of doing this and being at or speaking to 70 plus schools in ND and western MN, there are 2 schools that stand out far beyond all the others as having a profound effect on me, personally, and am so proud to say that May-Port CG is one of them!

We were so impressed with all you students that we have decided to offer a one time $500 scholarship to one of this years’ graduating seniors.  The application form will be forthcoming in the next few days.  Principal Blotsky will keep you informed.

Thank you, again, from the bottom of our hearts.

Lynn & Donna Mickelson.”
