The Senior Class had the opportunity to visit the State Capital & Heritage Museum in Bismarck today! Accompanied by Mr. Kunkel & Mr. Enget, the kids were able to tour both buildings, explore North Dakota’s rich history, interact within committees, observe both Senate & House legislative sessions, meet our district’s representatives & watch the lawmaking process of our democracy! Piper Lindaas, Anabelle Barker, Carissa Mueller, Jacob Berg, Emma Dockter & Sophia Johnson got to sit with members of both houses during session! The kids were dressed to a T & we’d like to thank the capital tour guide Marsha Lembke, District 20 Senator Randy Lemm and Representatives Jared Hagert and Mike Beltz for having us!

Today, Ernest Strube and Miriam Carignan of Goose River Bank spoke with the Senior Economics Class. They covered the topics of financial literacy, saving, and investing. Offering a professional and local perspective, the seniors gained great insight into financial strategy, basic money management, and an understanding of the money flow in our economy! Mr. Enget & the Senior Class would like to thank Ernest & Miriam for taking the time to speak & challenge our financial understanding! Great 21st Century skills were obtained!

Scott Larson came to speak to Math 8 about how he uses math in his careers (farming & pest control)
over 1 year ago, Allison Johnson
I hope the kids are surprised each time at how many ways math is used in day!
Farming has so many math calculations!
We keep hearing that we use math all the time, without even realizing it.
