Congrats to the MPCG Speech Team on their spectacular performance at the Regional Meet in Northwood this afternoon! Final Results:
Jacob McClenahen: 4th in Radio, 5th in Humorous;
Camden Ree: 3rd in Humorous;
Serenity Gebhardt/Maddie Amb: 3rd in Humorous Duo;
Serenity Gebhardt: 4th in Serious Prose;
Maddie Amb: 1st in Dramatic Interpretation.
Camden, Serenity, and Maddie will be attending the ND Class B Speech Meet in Mandan on Saturday, April 27.

MSU was buzzing with the sound of the Region Solo and Ensemble Festival on Thursday. Congratulations to ALL of the MPCG students who performed! 21 students in 18 different events received a STAR a rating making it to State Music!! There were also 3 events that received an Outstanding Performance in their rooms (Hannah Ostlie-vocal solo, Jaxon Freeberg-trumpet solo, Jacob McClenahen/Danica Freeberg/Parker Strand/Piper Lindaas/ Anabelle Barker/Aaden Aarsvold/Jackson Craig-Saxophone Ensemble). Way to go, Patriots!

Several of Mrs. Overmoe's students have been learning about financial literacy, money management, practicing using an ATM, and more! Two classes were able to hear from MPCG graduate and financial advisor, Hunter Torgeson, from Lux Wealth Advisors here in Mayville!
Hunter lead students in discussion and practical application of different spending categories, the difference between wants and needs, how to plan for emergencies, and much more. We appreciate your time Hunter and thank you again for teaching our students to be good stewards of their money now and in the future!

4th grade has been growing plants in a garden tower and had their first harvest today! This was a great opportunity to observe plant structures and how plants grow! The kids used their senses to explore these plants and even tasted them!
