Five students representing May-Port CG spent the weekend rehearsing with top musicians from ND, MN, and SD at the UND Honor Music Festival! Congratulations to Rikka Edwardson, Jaxon Freeberg, and Emma Dockter for being selected to the Honor Band, and to Serenity Gebhardt and Emily Norstebon for being selected to the Women’s Honor Choir.
International Music Camp Director, Tim, stopped by last week to talk to the 6-8th grade students about the 50+ music/art programs they have this coming Summer. Another shoutout to PBJ elementary for allowing Carissa Mueller & Kayla Knudsvig to come in and gain valuable experiences through the School To Work Program in Mrs. Hogfoss and Mrs. Lipsiea classrooms. The students have enjoyed learning about and from our elementary students.
January is business outreach month. In October our elementary and middle school students were able to participate in a walking tour through various area businesses. Today our high schoolers were able to have some round table discussion with some area business people to talk about their experiences, education, careers, companies, and answer some questions. Thank you for engaging our students and helping them to learn a little about your career and company.
